Well I am pretty sure I won't be able to make my goal of posting twice a week. So I will now try to post at least once a week! I really enjoy having the blogs and like sharing what the Lord is doing in my life and ministry, but I get so busy, and with unreliable internet, sometimes it's really hard to get an update in.
So we did go to the conference up country and I had a wonderful time. I still plan on posting about that and sharing some of the over 500 pictures I took!
For now, please keep me and my ministry in your prayers. Something bad has happened that I really need people to remember in their prayers. Unfortunately I don't feel I can share what it is, but I will let you know when it is resolved. For now, this is the passage the Lord has laid on my heart concerning this situation.
Psalm 64
Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint;
protect my life from the threat of the
enemy.
Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
from that noisy crowd of evildoers.
They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim their words like deadly arrows.
They shoot from ambush at the innocent man;
they shoot at him suddenly, without fear.
They encourage each other in evil plans,
they talk about hiding their snares;
they say, "Who will see them?"
They plot injustice and say,
"We have devised a perfect plan!"
Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.
But God will shoot them with arrows;
suddenly they will be struck down.
He will turn their own tongues against them
and bring them to ruin;
all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
All mankind will fear;
they will proclaim the works of God
and ponder what he has done.
Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD
and take refuge in him;
let all the upright in heart praise him!

Hi Melodie,
praying God's protection and peace all over you. May He give this situation a quick resolution and may His name be glorified.
Hi, Melodie, Your post stirs up many memories, some great and some needing God's grace to handle His way. Having "been there, done that," I know how much the prayers of others can help. Our prayers are with you. Donna Guenter (BMM Liberia, 1970-1982)
Melodie,
We adopted Eva, Patience and Evelyn. Eva speaks so highly of you! All three girls are doing so well. I'm so glad you're back, having an influence on the children! I read the letter you recently wrote about the latest situation, and I appreciate your perspective. My heart breaks, though, to hear the details of what has happened. We're praying that all is resolved for the glory of God and the good of the children, soon. Thank you for serving the children so faithfully and well!
Hello Ms. Melodie,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that you have a strong desire to serve God. Now is a good time! I recommend the one true God, Jehovah. He has an important message for all of us: 1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Malachi 2:1-2) (ASV)
